Good month for gaming fund

Dan Ahrens' Gaming and Casino Fund (GAFX) reports a strong September. Its investments, 80% of which are concentrated in casino, gaming-manufacturer, pari-mutuel, and lottery-support-system stocks was up 3.75 percent, as opposed to the Morningstar Mid-Growth Index's 1.86% September increase. Harrah's now leery of Singapore

An $81-per-share acquisition offer for Harrah's Entertainment by a consortium of corporate raiders is starting to cast a pall over the company's planned international expansion.
