Yesterday left me feeling like I would be incredibly comfortable next fall. The dresses at the BCBG MaxAzria show left me wondering whether the models were any heftier than previous seasons because of all the volume on the dresses. Kimora Lee Simmons knows how to put on a show, and her Baby Phat show last night at the Roseland Theater was no exception. The show started a full hour late to accomodate the stars who walked the red carpet: Ice T, Li’l Kim, Dean Winters, Britney Spears in her brunette hair with colored extensions. But when the lights dimmed, Simmons showed a collection reminescent of this previous fall—gold lame, military-inspired, all topped with Russian fur hats and fur boots (yes, groan, it may signal the return of the Ugg).
