At last, the bloodthirsty paparazzi got their fill as did the famished fashionistas. The former came in the form of Paris Hilton, whose mother had to scold her into paying attention to sister Nicky’s fashion show. The latter consisted of killer cuts, quality craftsmanship and plain old creativity, the kind of stuff L.A. Fashion Week had been sorely lacking, until day three.

MC Hammer makes a comeback at the Falguni & Shane Peacock show.

FALGUNI & SHANE PEACOCK
Bollywood goes Hollywood:
The duo from India absolutely wowed Fashion Week with their bold prints and feather adornments. Their designs have a resort feel with a strong siren appeal. As Christian from "Project Runway" would say: fierce!

Can’t touch this: This was the the first of two shows to feature the infamous MC Hammer pant silhouette.

LAUREN CONRAD COLLECTION
Jersey girl:
Yours truly didn’t make it into this heavily screened show but the photos reflect a decent line made of lots and lots of jersey. You have to wonder whether Conrad chose the loose, easy fabric out of a fondness for it or because it’s a basic beginning tool in Sewing 101.

Reality reunion: With everyone from Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port and Brody Jenner (Conrad’s co-stars from "The Hills") to  Kristin Cavallari, Stephen Colletti and Dieter Schmitz (Conrad’s co-stars from "Laguna Beach") the buzz after the show had more to do with the reality show excitement than anything seen on the runway.

Frenemy fashion: Conrad’s mortal enemy from her Laguna days, Kristin Cavallari, told paparazzi she loved the line as she waited for her car at valet. When asked if she thinks Conrad would ever give her pieces to promote the line, Cavallari answered, "She already did."

NICHOLAI BY NICKY HILTON
My little pony:
A strong equestrian tone, complete with riding hats and boots. This collection was much better than expected, considering the designer shares a bloodline with Paris Hilton.

Sibling rivalry? In a red dress and black motorcycle gloves, Paris texted on her phone and flirted with boyfriend, Benji Madden, through most of the show. At one point, her mother leaned over Paris’ dad to get her daughter’s attention. When the heiress turned to see who had interrupted her canoodling, Kathy Hilton gestured toward the runway with a stern look as if to say, "Show your sister’s show some respect before I take you over my knee, OK, darling."

Funniest exchange overheard in the press room:
Paparazzo #1: "What show did you just get back from?"
Paparazzo #2: "Bow & Arrow."
Paparazzo #1: "Did anyone come?"
Paparazzo #2: "Jenna Jameson."
Paparazzo #1: "Oh yeah? Did anyone come?"
