Forget hot girlfriends, dontcha wish L.A. Fashion Week had a better finale? The Pussycat Dolls closed the show. Someone remind me what Nicole Scherzinger and her four dancing friends have to do with fashion because I’m at a loss over here. Of course "over here" is outside the doors of the show because I didn’t get in.
But neither did Bobby Trendy, the hot Asian judge on "Dancing with the Stars" or Whitney Port of "The Hills" (at least not on her first attempt in which she forgot her all access pass, AKA Lauren Conrad).
The power accessories at this show and the one preceding it, Ashley Paige, consisted of a headset, walkie talkie and clipboard. Why is it that the Mean Girls, or PR chicks as they’re also referred to, never actually look sorry when they say, "I’m sorry, you’re not on the list?" Ponder that thought while I give you the highlights from the final day of L.A. Fashion Week.
What’s the Hold Up? The actual start time for the Pussycat Dolls by Robin Antin show was an hour late. Rumor had it the show was good to go but organizers were holding out for a possible Britney Spears cameo. Because that would be a good thing?

Let it Snow: The only show to feature loads of scarves, gloves and even ear muffs — Monarchy — put the A.C. on full blast and ended the show with fake falling snow to really set the fall/winter mood. Great for the effect, not so great for the audience who sported goose bumps and dandruff hair by the show’s end.
Musical Chairs: At the Farah Angsana show, three Conde Nast staffers in the second row repeatedly tugged a PR woman’s sleeve to ask if they could get bumped to the front row seats being held for L.A. Times reporters. They were repeatedly told no — until the lights faded out. What would Anna Wintour think?
Hallmark Moment: When Samora Aloyan made her runway walk at the end of her fashion show, the designer’s mom rose from her seat and held out her arms. Aloyan hurried to embrace her mom as both wiped away tears. You can’t write this stuff, people.
Sneak Preview? Laurie and Tamra of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" sauntered in to the Ashley Paige show. Perhaps we can expect to see them donning the scanty numbers next season.
Very Important Pooch: The first appearance by a K-9 came during the Samora show. The furry pup enjoyed a front row view on the lap of its owner. Imagine how the people who couldn’t get into that show felt when they saw a dog prancing in.
