Pennsylvania and the pundits

By Len Butcher

Thank God tomorrow’s Tuesday. At least this particular Tuesday. Finally, after an agonizing two months, I won’t have to listen to the political pundits on CNN and FOX News tell me hour after hour what Obama and Clinton have to do to win Pennsylvania. Or the million and one scenarios that could be created depending on the outcome. Or how the outcome will reflect on the super delegates. Or what percentage of the people in every town and city in the state will probably vote. I half expect a poll to be taken of every household pet as well.

I don’t know about you, but I would think that the great majority of the good people of Pennsylvania made up their mind who they would vote for long before they actually have to go to the polls. Sure, there are going to be undecideds and in a close race could make the difference of a win or loss for either candidate, but let’s face it, either you like someone and their platform, or you don’t. Case closed.

Not that you shouldn’t keep an open mind, but hey, this campaign has been going on for almost a year and God knows how many debates we’ve had to endure. If you couldn’t make up your mind long before now, you may want to check with your doctor to see if you need a lobotomy.

Or better yet, ask those smart-ass 5th graders we see on TV who seem to kick ass. They’ll soon set you straight.
