You point to a critical problem in this country: we are being coddled, and "protected" from reality. We must be told the truth. We are not simpletons. We have seen the disastrous effects of incompetency. It's time to get serious about the future of the US, before it slips away from us. The greatness of a nation is, in part judged by how it treats its weaker members, and today our message to them seems to be, "we wish you would just disappear". Excellently put.
