A gentleman describing himself as a concerned citizen and not a Wynn dealer would like to share this dispatch to Nevada Senate Majority Leader Bill Raggio:

Dear Senator Raggio:
I am writing you to express my outrage at your action regarding AB248. It appears that you caused this Bill to be removed from the Judiciary Committee after it was scheduled for a hearing and sent it to the Commerce and Labor Committee to satisfy your personal friend, Mr. Wynn’s, desire to kill this Bill. You selected the Commerce and Labor Committee, chaired by Senator Townsend, because you knew that he was also a personal friend of Mr. Wynn and would allow this Bill to die in his committee.

My spouse and I are 20 year southern Nevada residents, registered Republicans and regular voters. While we can not vote in your District, I promise you that we will actively participate in the effort to elect the Democratic Senatorial Candidate for our District in 2008.

For your information, my District replaced Senator Tiffany (R) with Senator Woodhouse (D), because of the ethics problems associated with the Republican candidate. I assure you that many voters in this District, as well as in other Clark County Republican Senatorial Districts, will walk door to door in an effort to replace the present Republican Senators in 2008 because of Senator Townsend and your corrupt practices.

I realize that this action has no effect on your possible reelection, it will, however insure that there will not be a Republican Majority in the Senate, thus removing both of you from your leadership positions in the next Legislative Session..

I regret that other members of your Party will suffer the consequences of your corrupt practices and that you do not care that your actions are smearing the reputation of the entire Republican Party.
